Shenzhen Airlines invited President Liling Qi to participate in the inauguration in Shenzhen of the first direct air route between Shenzhen and Barcelona, where the presentation of the first direct air route between Shenzhen bao’an International Airport (SZX) to Josep Tarradellas Barcelona El Prat Airport took place. In addition, Lidan Qi, a member and supervisor of the Association, was invited to attend the welcoming ceremony for Shenzhen Airlines’ first flight in this new air route.
The new direct air route by Shenzhen Airlines between Shenzhen and barcelona opens an opportunity for both cities which have been sister cities since 2001, and at the same time this sets a precedent for barcelona’s need to work towards having an airport that fulfills the city’s and Catalonia’s ambitions with intercontinental direct flights.
This route will Include direct flights from El Prat Airport departing at 11:30 AM and arriving to Shenzhen the next day at 7:00 AM; return flights will depart from Shenzhen Airport at 12:05 AM, arriving in Barcelona at 8:05 AM on the same day. These schedules are designed to benefit both business travelers and tourists, aiming to pave the way for a network of cultural and business exchanges.
